What To Do With A Book!!
Before reading:
*use clues from book titles, cover and illustrations to predict what the book is about

During reading:
*use picture clues and context clues to determine words in a story
*if the book has rhyming words, try to predict the last word in the rhyming sentence

After reading:
*ask questions about the story:

Some suggested questions:
What do you think of this book?
Can you tell me about the story?
Who were the characters in the story?
Where did the story take place?
Was there a problem in the story?
How was the problem solved?
What happened in the beginning, middle, and end of the story?
What is your favorite part of the story?
Who was your favorite character?
